From the begining of the humanity, women have been trying to be shown as weak, fragile, useless creatures. They’ve been trying to inure us that, they only exist for sex, and give birth to children. They’ve been trying to make us think that, their place is beneath the shadow of men. Take no offense but, this is all rubbish. Women are strong, women are physicially attractive but not as advertisement slaves.
Women are trying to be shown as weak, but believe me, they can be stronger than an ordinary man. I’m a 1.80 cm, 75 kg man but I remember that I was easily thrown by a 160 cm 50 kg woman. Literally, she threw me. It was not about the muscle power but there are some women who are even more muscular than men. They try to sell men products by portraying woman weak. ‘Advertising sector's manipulation of the images of women.’ and ‘Fragility, vulnerability, passivity and powerlessness identity of women in advertisements’ are the proves of the importance of male approval with regards to female advertisements…
In advertisements, they portray imaginary, god smackingly glorious, ‘ideal woman’ which is a product of the combination of montage, cosmetic and plastic surgery. They idolize a woman that actually doesn’t exist. The best parts of different women are assemblying on a body. People pay lots of money for being like that imaginary person. Jean Killbourne states that advertising isheterosexist, such as the portrayal of lesbians from porn and age-defying cosmetics, which result in high cosmetic surgery rates. Which is a proof that the system is completely based on selling things no matter what.
To sum up, I think that women should rebel against them who thinks and portrays them as second class people. They should indicate their worth, so that no one can even dare to use them as advertisement slaves ever again.
